Viktor Novikov: Partnership Between Education, Science and Industry Shapes the Future of Ukrainian Geology

Practical training for students, joint research projects, and the dual education programmes were among the key topics discussed during a working meeting between the management of PrJSC «NJSC «Nadra Ukrainy» and representatives of the National University «Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic».
The Chairman of the Board of PrJSC «NJSC «Nadra Ukrainy» Mr.Viktor Novikov, together with Mr.Andrii Umanets, Director of SE «Ukrnaukageocenter», and Mr.Oleh Nychaiuk, Director of Nadra Oleska LLC, paid a working visit to the National University «Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic».

During the working meeting, the participants discussed prospects for developing cooperation between the University and the Company’s subsidiaries, including the implementation of joint research projects, the development of dual education programmes, the organization of industrial placements and internships, and the training of specialists in line with the evolving needs of the labour market.
The rector of the University Mr. Volodymyr Onyshchenko introduced the guests to the University’s modern facilities and laboratory infrastructure, which have become one of the key components of practical training for future oil and gas engineers. In recent years, the National University «Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic» has successfully created an innovative educational environment where the learning process closely reflects real industrial conditions.
Preparing highly qualified professionals is one of the key drivers of the development of Ukraine’s geological and oil and gas industries. For this reason, PrJSC «NJSC «Nadra Ukrainy» consistently supports cooperation with specialized higher education institutions, promoting the integration of modern industrial practices into the academic process and creating new opportunities for the professional development of young specialists.
Previously, PrJSC «NJSC «Nadra Ukrainy» paid nearly UAH 344 million to the State Budget as part of its net profit distribution for 2025.
