NJSC «Nadra Ukrainy» Joined U.S.-Ukraine Dialogue on Critical Minerals and Energy
On 18 June 2026, a roundtable discussion for private sector representatives was held in Kyiv, organized by the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) in partnership with the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE). The event brought together representatives of Ukrainian and U.S. businesses to discuss opportunities, challenges, and practical approaches to implementing projects in the critical minerals, energy, and oil and gas sectors.Mr. Valerii Hrebeniuk, Advisor on Diplomatic Affairs at NJSC «Nadra Ukrainy», participated in the roundtable.

“Discussions with international partners on the development of the critical minerals, energy, and oil and gas sectors are essential for creating transparent and predictable conditions for investment and project implementation. Platforms such as this promote greater mutual understanding among market participants while opening additional opportunities for cooperation and attracting investment into the industry,” said Mr. Valerii Hrebeniuk.

Particular attention was paid to the prospects for U.S.-Ukraine cooperation under the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the United States of America on the Establishment of the United States-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund. Participants discussed ways to stimulate private investment, improve the regulatory framework, and encourage greater participation of international companies in strategic mining and energy projects.
The participants emphasized that developing Ukraine’s critical minerals sector and making effective use of the country’s natural resource potential are key components of Ukraine’s economic recovery and strengthening its energy security.

Following the roundtable, participants agreed to prepare recommendations for the Government of Ukraine on reforms and policy measures that will facilitate the successful implementation of the intergovernmental Agreement and create favorable conditions for attracting private capital to investment projects.
Previously, representatives of NJSC «Nadra Ukrainy» held a working meeting with a U.S. company to discuss advanced technologies for lithium extraction.
